A Bit Much

What do beads and icebergs have in common? OK, I set that up without a punchline. Bear with me. 

First, we need to talk beads. I have a lot. True beauties coming soon but can we take a moment to process this set? Baffled and bewitched since I first clapped eyes on it.

So, the iceberg? My sister has a large chunk of slag or cullet glass shaped like an iceberg. It is the only other object I've seen that absorbs and refracts light this way. In so many ways. 

Vintage. Clasp I believe to be silver even without a stamp. Threaded with strong wire. About 27-inches in length.

Pale blue at first glance. Glows from within. Dazzling. Confusing. Hold it up to any light. Leave it on the counter. The bathroom floor. Hang from the nearest houseplant. Ideally your neck. You’ll see.
