Size certainly isn't everything. Minute crystals set in sterling topped with a layer of gold. 

Very skilled hands positioned each crystal individually then carved the surface to boost the ways this beauty could refract the light. 

If this was a bet between master craftsman I'm guessing this mystery designer took home the prize.
