Blue Ribbon

When celebration is in order. 

Ribbons of gold set with staggering blue stones. Glorious cut and colour.  

Marked for Carl Art Inc. Carl Schraysshuen and Arthur Loercher opened shop in Providence RI in 1936 and spent four decades seducing US society with elegant semi-precious designs. The company also served as a supplier, with clients including NYC-based Walter Lampl (1921-1959) known, in part, for making intricate charms and compacts. 

Very good vintage condition or minor signs of wear. Gold-filled (12k) and, based on company history and quality, the stones are semi-precious. Exactly which type remains a mystery. For now.
