Guiding Light

These silver-toned scalloped beauties come from Bugbee and Niles, B.N. for short, an American company with roots in the mid-19th century.

A favourite seller estimated this pair was created in the early 1950s.

There is a wee scuff on one earring. Every item that makes its way to you has undergone a gentle clean, but I stay away from heavy polish or scrubbing to avoid damaging older finishes.  Otherwise, remarkable vintage condition.

Besides, perfection isn't everything and who am I to strip away signs of a long and well-loved life. 

One neat feature. Tiny loops at the top of the backings so, I'm guessing, they could be transformed* into hooks. 

*For conversions, repairs, cleaning, etc., I can't say enough about Made You Look.
