What in the old money and contemporary design happened here?

Rhetorical. In awe.  

Sterling silver double clasp. *  Finely cut rhinestones. Semi-opaque flawless rings of agate, a form of quartz** beloved by designers for unique patterns and depth.   

Named for Saturn's largest moon. Rings in pristine condition. Tarnish only signs of wear. Kept out of a love for contrast. 

Enjoyed a gentle clean. Will arrive with new backings. May generate strong gravitational pull. Direction open for discussion.
