First Love

Having a bit of separation anxiety here, people. 

Diamonds, sky-blue topaz, set in sterling silver. The metal marking suggests vermeil or at one time they had a light coating of gold.

But somebody loved these and time and frequent wear has worn it away to reveal an almost flawless silver base. 

This pair was an early find and why I got hooked on hunting for beautiful things. As I do with anything identified as precious gems, I asked an expert to take peek.
