Master goldsmith Jacques Hobé founded Hobé et Cie, in France in the late 1880s. His son William brought the legendary brand to the US in 1920s, where it swiftly became a favourite of early film stars.* 

Patent pending, which based on a loose grasp of design rights means this set was likely produced after the mid-1950s, and probably among the first of its kind.

Two wee holes in one bead near the top - peering required and any questions please reach out - but otherwise few obvious signs of wear despite a life clearly very well lived. Zoom lens required. Strong clips or passed the throwing my hair back test.
