Moonlight

Moonglow is a form of lucite* designed to mimic a stone** of the same name and which appears to glow from within.

The technique is also used with glass. Lucite was the toast of the town in the mid-20th century, as it allowed designers to offer adornments in a wild range of colour and form. 

Finding this gleaming set was a delight. 

Very good condition. Strong clips despite obvious signs of age. One has lost a minor decorative element or a wee floral ring meant to encircle the pin at the base of the bottom bead. Not noticeable when on.

Passed gentle pull test. All elements remain in place. 

Confident these little ones have experienced more than half a century of life. 

Would be delighted to carry on, with you. May have a story or three to tell.
