Marcasite is a favourite mineral. Once favoured by ancient Greeks* for adornment it really is quite brittle. Suspect the minute size protected these stones.

Very good vintage condition. Underwent a light polish and buff – see note on marcasite being rather delicate – and little to no signs of wear. Love a hint tarnish, for depth, but I’ll suggest any deep, deep cleans go to a pro. Some 16-inches in length.

Ready to be with you from dawn to dusk. Every season.
