Icy clear stones. Clarity verging on the absurd. Near mint condition. Substantial visual and physical heft. Clips cleared the head shake test with flying colours. Several times. 

And Narnia, what other choice was there.  

C.S. Lewis fans will remember when Lucy crosses enters a wardrobe to emerge in the the lands of the White Witch. A world of talking animals, snow, and trees laden with crystals of ice.
