Monet: Crimped

Monet flashing me back to the 1980s.  

Brothers Michael and Jay Chernow started out crafting art deco plaques for purses in 1927. Monet, the costume jewelry brand, launched in 1937. *

Their focus on crafting high-end expensive looks, coupled with a dedication to durable finishes and detailing, earned the brothers an extraordinarily devoted fan base. The company was still going strong in the early 2000s and remains highly collectable. 

One way Monet stood out from the pack, not to mention built a cult following that endures to this day, was using gold and silver plating and semi-precious stones. **

Gleaming chain in very good condition. Drapes beautifully. Strong clasp. Little to no signs of wear. Length about 18-inches. Rests just beneath collarbone.
