Weiss’s design team can consider me officially tied up in knots.
Albert Weiss honed his craft working for Coro (Cohn & Rosenberger) in the early 1930s before branching out on his own in the early 1940s. The company is still in operation. *
Suspect this sparking set was a test pair of sorts – how many cuts can you really make across one stone - or never made it off the design floor.
Crystal-clear rhinestones. Bottomless depth. Glorious shine. The clips practically snap shut and there is a slight gap between stones on one earring as well as irregular bend or two in the the metal at the back.
Not the type of damage from regular wear. **
Prototype? Late night bet?
Applying for opportunity to shine. Reflective type. Enjoys looking beyond the surface. Seeks same.

**Bower Jewelry Canada cannot say with 100 per cent certainty this set was a test but after many months of handling costume jewelry would be entirely comfortable making a rather strong bet.
