Weiss: Storm Warning

Very few brands can stand up to Weiss when it comes to costume jewelry. The photos capture about 90 per cent of the beauty of these clear and smokey stones but nothing beats seeing this pair up close. 

A bit of history: The brand is named for Albert Weiss, who as written on the family website, honed his craft working for Coro (Cohn & Rosenberger) in the early 1930s before founding his own company in the early 1940s.

The base metal is not precious, they look practically new, and the clips hung on while I gave my head a good shake. Despite, as I've recently been told, having rather small earlobes. 

Priced low, compared to other earrings in this class, or at "Emily may have to keep them" and "might have her fingers crossed."
