Van Dell: Who Made These?

I know the answer. Sort of. As noted in the header these vintage, gold-filled, screw back earrings were made by Van Dell. I'd just love to know more about the actual person who designed them. 

Founded in 1939 the company is known as one of the top designers of costume and semi-precious jewelry, one look up close and you understand why, and is still in business.
