Lisner: Plucked

Love you, Lisner.  

The D. Lisner company opened in 1904 but the brothers running shop had been engaged in the "fancy goods" business in the latter part of the 19th century. The brand carved out a name through immaculate design and a vast range of styles and use of colour*

Good vintage condition. Finish shows some imperfections - some vanish under different lighting conditions - but require extremely close viewing. Particularly on one of the pair, on on the left in the photo in my hand. Any questions, always ask. 

Enjoyed a gentle clean. Finishes are a tricky business. Learned that the hard way. Besides, I love signs of a life well-lived. 

Sharp metal work creates elegant understated shine. Strong screw backings. 

A few hard edges, emotionally. Deceptively soft, when required. Adaptable.
