Rare finds, history, immaculate design, and a hint of mystery.
Vintage sterling bracelet linked to famed silversmith Geraldo López, * whose work spanned from the 1930s to 1960s, much from his shop in Taxco Mexico. Known as the "silver capital of the world," the city remains a hotspot for collectors of both antique and modern design. **
An image search shows this exact style has sold in store and at auction for hundreds of dollars. Highly desirable is a bit of an understatement.
Length about 7-inches. Minor signs of wear. Beauty enhanced by age. Clasp certain to keep this one secure. Enjoyed a gentle buff. Adore a good patina. Deep cleans should be handled by the pros.
But really, why strip history from what is fairly called a piece of art.
*While the bracelet is stamped 925 and Mexico it does not bear López’s hallmark. But an exhaustive image-based search found exact versions, including the patina and patina, attributed directly to him. The hunt continues and updates, if from a reputable source, will be included.
