Monet:Nightshade

Monet has bewitched me. Again. Content to stay. 

Monet jewelry was the brainchild of style-minded brothers Michael and Jay Chernow who started out crafting art deco plaques for purses, in 1927. Monet launched in 1937. *

One way Monet stood out from the pack, not to mention built a cult following that endures to this day, was using gold and silver plating and semi-precious stones. **

Petal shaped links form the base of this elegant classic. Intricate carving. Luminous glow. Truly beautiful. Slightly sinister. As with all the wilder things. 

Somebody in that design house had more than a little respect for the shall we say defensive elements of nature. 

Extremely good vintage condition. Strong clasp. Safety chain locked into place. 

Certain to attract. Unlikely to harm. The wearer.

Size reference: About 7-inches in length. The point where my wrist meets my hand is about 6-inches.
